Line R2 of Dongguan Rail Transit has been completed and put into trial operation on May 27, 2016, the metal ceilings, advertising lighting box and guide signs of which were provided by Guangzhou Gold Kings Building Material Co., Ltd.

Line 2 is the first metro line built and also the first line put into operation in Dongguan. With a total length of 37.8 kilometers, it includes 15 stations, with the section from Dongguan Railway Station to Humen Railway Station as its first phase project. The completion of tunnel excavation for Line 2 marks a significant milestone in Dongguan’s construction history of rail transit and also has laid a solid foundation for Dongguan’s ushering in an era of rail transit.
